Announcement: AML Annual Conference April 21

The Association for Mormon Letters will hold its annual conference on April 21st at Utah Valley University’s Student Center.  The theme of the conference is: “Going Forth into All the World: Mormon Literature in an International Church.”  The keynote speaker will be Elder John H. Groberg, Emeritus Seventy of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, whose LDS mission to Tonga was the subject of the film The Other Side of Heaven. Panelists, coming from as far away as Spain and Australia, will talk about various authors and LDS film and literature throughout the world.

The AML annual meeting is free to the public, though subscriptions to its literary magazine, Irreantum, are available, as are memberships.

Registration starts at 8:00 a.m. in the UVU Student Center, Centre Stage. The first session starts at 9:00 a.m.

There will be a luncheon at 1:00 p.m., during which the 2011 AML awards for writing in various genres will be announced.  Seating for the luncheon is limited, so tickets should be ordered ahead of time.

    1. Tyler, we have the schedule, but have to chart everything neatly. You are presenting throughout the day, because you’re heading the two poetry panels. Your first presentation is at 9:00 a.m. (That’s just you.)
