Irreantum 17.1 is now live and online and available to prying eyes everywhere so please pry away! Stories don’t escape coffins on their own, you know.

Including classic fiction and newly released work—including a never-before-seen story from Maurine Whipple—17.1 goes places even I, the editor, didn’t imagine when work began on it just 19 short days ago. I have stories to tell about each piece but I would rather you just find your way there and read them yourself. Suffice it to say Fearreantum is a booklength collection of fiction, poesy, scholarship, music, art, scripture, translation, and more. All of which, though thematically related, could not be more different. It’s not every day you encounter Jaredite eldritch horror and Elder Neil L. Andersen in the same room.

Unless you live a very different life than I.

to introdutionAllow this little girl to take you to my introduction.

From there, it’s just clicking one face after another,
until you’ve made it all the way through, through
haunted Nauvoo and revenant grandmothers and
angels of death and camping trips gone wrong
and terrified aliens and pandemic and thou.
