An intensive writing conference in a cool and historic mountain setting. A perfect place for writers, writer/teachers, editors, and agents to come together to share ideas, craft, and fine writing. A place to make new friends. Registration open to all writers.

Workshops, Panel, Consultations, and Readings
Small, intensive workshops, limited to 16 participants for each genre, will meet from 9 a.m. to noon and from 3 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Student readings during the day. Editors panel on Thursday. Readings by faculty Thursday and Friday evenings, and a presentation Saturday night featuring columnist Robert Kirby, “Grammar and Other Ways to Hurt Yourself,” open to the public ($20 a ticket to raise money for partial scholarships to students).

Consultations are optional, for an additional charge, and are available only to conference registrants.

Cuisine
Alta Lodge is known for excellent food and elegant presentation. For over 30 years their chefs have created a fine dining experience at the Lodge. Attendees will enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as the Lodge’s famous Sunday brunch buffet.
Cost
Conference tuition for workshops with on-site lodging: $625 (includes shared room and all meals Thursday through Sunday morning. Conference tuition without on-site lodging: $475 (includes all meals Thursday through Sunday.)
