Nominations are now open for the 2024 AML Awards! The Association for Mormon Letters is a literary organization promoting quality literary work by, for, or about Mormons (broadly defined), and has been giving out annual awards since 1978.
Visit tinyurl.com/AMLnominee to nominate your favorite literary works (and other associated artistic works) published or first performed in 2024 by, for, or about (a) Mormon(s). Works will be judged by a panel of authors, critics, librarians, editors, publishers, and academics. Finalists will be announced ahead of the AML conference in May 28-30, 2025. Current participation in the LDS Church is not a factor in considering eligibility, and works only need to qualify in one category (by, for, OR about.)
Categories include: Novel, Short Fiction (individual and collection), Drama (theatrical works), Film (any format: features and shorts, narrative and documentary), Picture Book, Podcast, Poetry collection (book or chapbook), Creative Nonfiction (book length, including memoirs and personal essay collections) Criticism, Religious Nonfiction, Middle Grade Novel, Young Adult Novel.
Learn more and see past winners at AssociationMormonLetters.org/about. Nominations will close on January 31.
